Estate Planning & Administration

Whether you need a simple will or a more complex revocable or irrevocable trust, I will work with you to design and implement an estate plan that carries out your wishes. Planning now may help preserve your assets, including from Medicaid recovery. Naming a durable power of attorney (POA), the appointment of a Healthcare Representative, and the declaration of a Living Will may also provide additional protection in the event of a sudden or debilitating injury or illness, and alleviate the burden of making difficult end of life decisions by your loved ones.

After the death of a loved one, I also work with the personal representatives of estates to assist with the opening of any probate estate, the orderly distribution of assets, and the preparation of any final tax returns. Even if a formal estate is not required, I can assist with the transfer of assets to the legal heirs.
